Phoenix is definetely in touch with their artistic ability, and it shines throughout the city. Performing arts is just one type of art that Philadelphia has a vast talent in. Symphony Hall is an important part of Phoenix's vast spread of cultural and entertainment offerrings. This location is home to the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizon and also Broadway and dance touring companies. This hall , opened in 1972 and just went through 18.5 million dollars in renovations and expansion projects. Featuring a 60x100 foot performance stage and over 2,000 seats, this location also has displays of art and sculptures for all to see. Come to Symphony Hall to hear and see beautiful art in many forms.

One of the most historic venues in Phoenix is Orpheum Theatre. This location just went through 14 million dollars in restoration. This theatre also has been somewhat modernized, to hold and suit Broadway acts, and local plays and artistry. The Orpheum has over 1,300 seats and was built in 1929. This theatre is one remaining theatre that features theatre palace architecture. This venue is both historic and absolutely breathtaking.

Built in 1989, The Herberger Theatre Center is the modern performance venue for Phoenix. This location is huge, and very modern and prestigious. You can see the resident companies, such as Actors Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, and Center Dance Ensemble. There are also several other groups that utilize this amazing venue. The Hershberger also holds programs to educate the children of Phoenix in arts and theatre. Each year, 30,000 school aged children get the change to view performing arts and learn about it first hand. The Hershberger Theatre Company offers outreach to the people to get them involved in arts, and education oppertunities. This venue is absolutely breathtaking for its beauty and modern artistic style.

Phoenix is very rich in performing arts and venues. They are lucky to have several locations that are beautiful, historic, yet very functional.
