According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, humor means something that is or is designed to be comical or amusing. Struggle means to make strenuous or violent efforts in the face of difficulties or opposition. If you put both of this meanings together and look at it from a different point of view you have life. Without humor, one could not survive life. For example: Murphy's law is, always has been, and always will be things are going to happen, today, tomorrow and yesterday and unfortunately you have no control over it what so ever and anything that can go wrong will.
Life is a struggle morning, noon, and night but you get through it with determination, laughter, tears and hopefully someone by your side to pick up the small stuff so that when you must struggle you do not loose the little stuff. Little stuff is what makes all the different in life because if you do not lose focus on that then everything else is easy. My Mom used to tell me if I sweat the small stuff then the big stuff becomes a problem however if I took care of the big stuff than all the little stuff would take care of itself. She was so right.
Laughter is the best medicine it helps cope with loss as we think of our love ones. We struggle with balance on money issues, family problems, relationship problems, drinking problems, drug problems and other major or minor issues too numerous to list. I guess really all I'm trying to say is that life, if you live it to the best of your ability, will have struggles, good or bad, big or little. If you say there is not than you're not living your life to the fullest or haven't ever had a problem you couldn't solve on your own, or you're lying to yourself and others.
Struggle is unavoidable in life and humor is one of those things that help the evil go down easier, kind of, as a spoon of sugar helps the medicine go down. Laughter is better than tears and humor is how you get the laughter so that is how it works. Just remember Murphy's Law is always there in the background waiting to jump up and bite you in your fanny so be prepared to have a little laughter along with your struggling to get you through lives vicissitudes.
