Humor: Swimming pools

Swimming is one of the best exercises that you can do, and it's fun too! I remember learning how to swim as a child. It was about 3 months after we got our pool installed. I loved being in the water. We waited, for what seemed like a lifetime for that pool to be completed. So, finally after it was done, we swam everyday for about two weeks. You know you do that swimming when you move your hands, splash a lot of water, but still have your knees on the pool floor. Well that was me for about 2 years. At least until my mom decided she better get us swimming lessons before we kill ourselves trying to show off for our friends. Well, I was ecstatic about the lessons, until my instructor showed up that hot July summer day. He was about 5'5, weighted about 300 pounds and had hair like bozo the clown! He wore these tiny shorts that conveniently showed his overly round belly. Not to mention that his back was identical to his front. My sister and i ran into the house yelling and shouting to our mom. Where in the world did she get this guy from! Surely he could NOT be the instructor she paid for. She went out to the pool area and spoke with the instructor for a while, they did a lot of nodding and then she came back in. "Go out there and learn something" she told us! We dragged our feet all the way outside and introduced ourselves to our new instructor. His name was Leonard! Who would've thought. Well, we proceeded with our lessons. he was actually nice, and funny too. We were about a week into our lessons when we were learning how to dive into the water. My sister dived great. She made it looked so easy. So me, trying to be just like her, went next. I got up, got my posture and went for it. The water was so refreshing, a bit cold though. Well, when I came up, I realized why it was so cold. My bathing suit had came all the way down when I hit the water. I guess I hadn't tied it tight enough. I bolted for the bathroom. my heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to jump out of my chest. Needless to say, that was the lat time i didn't secure my suit before going diving in.
