Tips for dating a married woman

So you want to date a married woman? Well, unless she is your wife, probably the first and most important tip you need to remember is.... Don't! Dating a married woman, or man for that matter, will only lead to misery. Many innocent people will be affected by your decision. But, if you're unable to control your self-destructive urges, then the following tips may help you survive the process.

1. Learn to watch for stalking husbands: It is possible that the married woman you are dating is in an "open marriage", but if not, (open marriages have a way of becoming closed when the husband eventually get jealous) you may want to learn to watch your review mirror. You never know when an angry husband might be stalking. Road rage can be a serious hazard in this situation. Along with learning to look for stalking husbands; take self defense lessons, chances are her husband will catch and confront you. You may even want to consider wearing a pullet proof vest.

2. Select out of the way places to date: You may want to consider going to out of the way places in order to make sure you are not seen by her friends. Even if the city is large, you can still be "made". I suggest going to another town, say-500 miles away.

3. Get a good lawyer: There was a case in the eastern United States where a woman successfully sued the person who broke up her marriage. The success rate of relationships built and a foundation of lies is very poor. Odds are you will eventually break up (think palimony).

4. Get a good therapist: The odds of your relationship with this woman going long term is low; very low. Why? First, people who cheat on their spouse really don't want to loose their families, particularly when children are involved. Believe me, things start to get complicated, the first thing that will be thrown of the train is you. Suppose your relationship does become serious. This represents a real dilemma. Chances are, after you have ruined a marriage and shattered the lives of her children, there is a good chance that your relationship will fail. Relationship built on lies and dishonesty do not survive. So... you better plan to get a therapist and might want to consider looking for one now. Your therapist might actually find it interesting that you are planning to launch off on such a self destructive adventure. Bottom line, you will need some help after it is all over.

5. Get good health insurance: This last tip is very important. Chances are that you will experience at least one of the pitfalls discussed above. Whether the angry husband breaks your nose or you end up paying for a therapist because you feel rejected and depressed, it's going to get very expensive. The one shinning star associated with this whole scenario is that your therapist will probably prescribe antidepressants which will probably adversely affect your sexual desire and performance. This will probably help avoid getting into trouble again, at least in the near future.

Relationship based upon lies and dishonesty are not healthy. I think you will find that if you put as much work into finding and then maintaining a relationship based upon honesty, integrity and respect, you will be happier. And you'll save money!
