My eyes seek beneath the flaws,
to observe an inner light.
Ears seeking a true meaning,
to avoid a senseless fight.
Words will seek to lift them up,
aiding those who may be down.
Empathy and tenderness,
Antiseptic for a frown.
These things I gladly offer,
others' happiness I crave.
for God's most precious blessing,
grants me freedom from the grave.
