I thought I knew you.
I thought I knew me.
I thought we were soul-mates.
I thought we knew our loves and hates.
I knew in you I could confide.
I thought you'd never find out I lied.
I knew that I was right about you.
You, warm, wonderful, caring and true.
Who turned out to be the jerk? ME,
Guilty of my own mistaken identity.
