" Happy thanksgiving." Mom said to me as she gave me a card with a turkey on it.
"Thanks mom." I said while I hugged her.
"Your welcome Tucker."
Thanksgiving day was always great. I always woke up to the wonderful smell of turkey or sometimes ham. My family members always come to visit and eat dinner with us. When I came downstairs to eat breakfast mother greeted me at the bottom of the steps and said "Breakfast is going to be a little late today honey. Your father and I are behind on cleaning the house."
" But I am very hungry."
" Well honey go take a bath and get dressed. When you are finished breakfast will be ready." Mother said as she handed me a laundry basket full of my clean clothes.
When I got finished doing what mom told me to do I was finally able to eat breakfast. I had French toast smothered in syrup, milk, eggs, and a biscuit. It was a weird breakfast but delicious. My dad had to go to work so I had to help mother clean up the house.
"We have a maid mom. Why doesn't she clean up?" I asked mom.
"I told her she doesn't have to come until I start the dinner and start inviting guest to come over."
"Well she should have been here this morning." I said.
"Do not act like a spoiled brat. She deserves to have a good time also."
"Okay mom. Why did butler Jerry start breakfast late?"
"He is not supposed to start cooking anything until the kitchen is clean. Since the maid Sara was not here I had to clean the kitchen."
Mom told me to stop talking so I had to do something so that I would not be bored. I got on the computer and started on my homework which was research. I love school. Some kids hate it but school will help me in the future.
Knock, knock, knock I heard a knock at the door and in comes Uncle Bob.
"Hey everybody. I'm so hungry I could eat a whole turkey." Uncle Bob said as he dropped his suit case on the floor and smashing my foot.
"Ow Uncle Bob! You hurt my foot!" I said.
"Oh I am sorry Tucker." He said as he gave me a piece of candy.
"Jerry I need you." Mom yelled.
Jerry came running as usual. Mom asked him to start serving the salad.
We always ate salad first because nobody ever ate salad along with the main course.
After we finished our salad the maid cleared the table and set the table for our main dinner.
"Thanks Sara." I said as Sara handed me a glass cranberry juice.
Mom said " Everybody put down your forks. We should pray for our food and say what we are thankful for." When we opened our eyes. "Oh my god, the turkey is gone!" Grandma Martha said as she pointed
