Look at that paper
Just look at it
Pointing at me with no hands
Laughing at me with no lungs
In my head
I break its face
It's wacky, spaced-out
Mocking face
Punched the desk
Once, twice
Thump
Thump
Thump thump thump thump
Ow
Ow
Ow ow ow ow
Hurt my hand
Hate the paper
Cry inside
And then
Yes!
Success!
Pen scratching paper
A lovely good sound
The block is gone
It'll be back
Doesn't matter
Life's good now

I sit and think of stories old,
Tales romantic and other.
Stories of mystery,tails so bold
Read to me by mother.
