One big purse,
the palette of my life,
12 dog-eared business cards,
11 pieces of what was an expensive lipstick in another life,
10 half-done "to do" lists with phone numbers penciled in,
9 screaming unpaid bills,
8 blank checks running on empty,
7 maxed-out plastic monsters,
6 pictures of special people,
5 no-longer-wrapped breath mints and hard candies-each one a different brand,
4 gently-used green and yellow speckled tissues,
3 diet protein bars (one half-eaten),
TOO TOO much responsibility
for this ONE big purse,
the palette of my life....
