Of Indiscretion and Fat Chance
Their hands never stopped
In the repetition of motion
Neither understood the notion
That this would never end.
The darkened sky outside
Betrayed their fantastic day
Except in the comfort of the sheets
The way they both would stay.
Telephones rangunanswered
Doors knockedsilence
Windows peereddarkness
Listeningcame the sound.
Soft at first came the lights
The peaking triumph of delight
Discoveries made to change a life
They have to clean up first.
Poor onlooker shocked but stayed
The burning in the eyes did not dismay
Paralyzation in abhorrent pause
Rigormortis never thaws.
Turning away she heard the tune
Of lovers greeting lifetime new
Words too painful to speak
She finally turned the other cheek.
To tell the tale she pondered
Over empty thoughts she wandered
Never finding answers of comfort
And so she decided to tell him.
Confrontation and burning nerves
To spill the sights she knew she saw
It meant less than nothing he claimed
Again and again it was he she blamed.
The past passing for eternity
People change she timelessly believed
With that uncovered expression on his face
She now knew how well he deceived.
