Being romantic is all about how you make your spouse feel about their presence in your life. The happiness and the delight of being with each other increases the romantic feeling. How much do you want to express yourself and to make your partner feel how much he /she makes a difference in your life and how important they are to you, is all that matters.
Different people have different ways of expressing themselves, I have seen my father buying lots of gifts and presents for my mother. It always used to be what she would like to have or what she would dream of having in her possession. Therefore it goes to some hard work of understanding you partner's desires and liking. There were moments when my parents used to sit all by themselves with wine and lots of delicious food and chatting over their youthful days, laughing and enjoying each other's presence in their lives. I used to watch them enjoy each other's company so much that it made me wonder how can they be so enthusiastic in listening to same old tales that they have shared with themselves on and on over a period of their life span.
Being romantic does not become meaningful only by sharing gifts, candle light dinners and bed. There is so much to it. Age, education, looks, etc.,are not the only things that matter. It is how far you make your partner feel light, happy, sharing, understanding, looking beyond your perspective into their world that can mean everything to them is what makes you romantic. The lighter moments of your life with your partner the more stronger it is, to make you feel romantic.
A moment of appreciation, gentle touch, loving look, soft kiss, sweet nothings, are the feelings that wrap up to become beautiful bouquet of romanticism. You are in possession of these things, you are romantic. Being romantic is all about looking beyond the broken fence to admire the lovely garden.
In other words, life is short why not make your partner feel wanted and loved with words, actions. God forbid, if something negative happens to anyone we should not be left alone to regret and murmer, 'how I wish I had said those meaning things I always wanted to say'. Time waits for no man, so when you have the chance make use of it. A kind, appreciative and gentle word or action makes both of you feel great, so why hesitate? This is what being romantic is all about, making your partner feel great in any possible way.
