Poetry: The Spirit

by Laine Traver

Created on: April 21, 2008

The soul embraces a thousand words

Never saying a single one

Now darkness shines upon the night soaked ground

Sleep infects those around

Letting the soul write its symphony

One to be played with in the mind

Forming your dreams

What should happen for you on your certain path?

Maybe your dreams are that of a symphony

The way your soul communicates its wants for you

Images flash as you sleep

Nothing you have seen before

But want nothing more than to see again

Its music to your senses

Playing an unending rhythm with in your body

Before the end can be sung

Light floods the ground

Chasing away nights cold embrace

You wake

Knowing you dreamt

But still missing something

Oh well you shrug it off

Till the stars hang over head once more

The symphony will sing again
