Family..What exactly constitutes a family? One may say that family is defined by the genetic ties as well as the biological ties, but is this family? A distant relative whom you have not seen in your lifetime, does it constitute family as well? I would define family as one which you have close ties with. A family is one where you can safely rely on in times of trouble. In happy times, happiness is shared among your family.
With this definition, it could be a little tricky. Does friends constitute family as well? Some people may be closer to their friends than to their immediate family members. Its a fine line between family and friends.
Family is an important institution and a basic building block of the society. It plays a fundamental role in bonding the society. It may be hard to define what is family, everyone can have their own definition of family. Ultimately, one should cherish and treasure their family!
