Click, click goes the flashing light
my face is illuminated in the night,
I am staring at the press bemused
Mistaken identity? now they confused.
The lights flash on regardless
this is such a mess.
How do I tell them? No, No
Please don't go.
I am not a celebrity
yet I am enjoying the popularity,
if I say I am not Posh,
will they still give me the Dosh?
I bow my head in shame
this is way too much fame,
for a country pumpkin,
so I just smile and grin
Then the crowd starts buzzing
in my head I hear this ding,
She's not a celebrity!
She's not a celebrity!
The lights stop flashing
the press know there's no cashing.
There has been a mistake,
as they see I am a fake.
I wish it could go on,
even if it is a con
AAH, I was a special entity
As a mistaken identity.

Do not mistake me,
I am but one of many men
I care not to know you
