abortion
the bees swarming in the kitchen
hover
buzzing busing
appearing
disappearing
in rhythm with tumors of sweat
migraines of blood
within and without
flying aimlessly
radar broken
bees alight on the stove
quiet now that Baby's dead.
Baby wasn't mine
I cried in loud denial
In short harsh screams
Ugly gaping mouth
Opens closes
Refusing that existence.
But
The bees know
Calm contented and constipated
Full stomachs aching
Their wings rasp together
In unison
As they leave
Gently buzzing
By way of the back door.
