Poetry: Mannequins

by L.L.Ortiz

Created on: April 21, 2008

Mannequins in a field
That's all they are
The smoke is cleared
So good so far

My finger aches
Too much trigger time
The Humvee purrs
I'm still there

A back bag lies
Beneath my feet
A mannequin falls
My best friend dies
