Britney Spears shaved her head for only reasons that Britney Spears knows. But, please take this statement very liberally, as I am not sure that Britney Spears and reasons go hand in hand, as the word reasons implies some kind of ability to rationalize and make decisions.

I of course do not know Britney Spears but based on what I do know about her from various media sources, it does not seem a stretch to assume that Britney Spears - the person - did not have much practice in rationalizing or making decisions while growing up and becoming Britney Spears - the pop singer, multi-million dollar machine. For the kind of sensation that Britney Spears became, and in such a short time and at such a young age, it is clear to me that others were managing her talent and thus making most of the decisions for her.

She was the work horse, and she clearly paid her dues. But, like many child actors before her, she was not learning how to live as a normal child or teen. We live and we learn. Without that first piece in place, then the valuable life lessons are not being taught, and those include the aforementioned ability to rationalize and make decisions.

So, if Britney Spears shaved her head for reasons that only Britney Spears knows - with it being unlikely that Britney Spears could clearly think through her options and practice solid decision making - then perhaps only God knows why Britney Spears shaved her head.

All that being said, we can come up with our own assumptions. Was it a cry for help? Was she tired of dying her hair a new color every other month and the hours spent on getting quality hair extensions? Was she hoping to pass her next hair drug test by removing all potential evidence? Did she have a lifelong obsession with Star Trek? Or maybe she was suffering from delusions of living a simpler life and started that process with an extreme change in hair style.

I just cannot answer that, though, because I am confident I have some abilities to rationalize and make decisions. Therefore, any assumptions I may make are just coming from a different place.

What I do truly hope is that Britney Spears, no matter what her hairstyle, gets the help she deserves so she can make better decisions in taking care of herself and her precious sons. You see, she sacrificed her childhood to entertain and make money for others. It's time for her to be able to learn some of those treasured life lessons. And, if there was one gleaned from the act of shaving her head, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
