boats? No they have their own lanes. Do commercial pilots have to fly next to a private plane? No they separate airspace for them too! But a professional truck driver who makes his living feeding the industrial machine, has to contend with irresponsible motorists who show us, the professional driver, how little they care about us or themselves in the way they handle their vehicles. They also show their lack of understanding when they travel in our blind spots and recklessly maneuver so close at speed rewarding themselves with an extra minute at their destination for an hour's worth of inconsiderate driving.
Safety should be a concern for everyone who shares the road. It only takes one driver, a split second of distraction, to lose control of a vehicle and take innocent lives with them down a preventable path.
In one second, at 60 miles per hour. you will have traveled a little over 85 feet; an average width of a suburban house.
In one second you could have run thru your neighbor's house because your phone rang, or your passengers caught your attention at the wrong moment.
From a professional truck drivers point of view, there is far too much at stake in driving, to be left to chance, as things seem to allow today, driving is a very serious matter that requires the learned skill and attention of a professional, for safety sake, are you one?
