In An Observatory
One serene, pure night some thoughts came to mind:
How a certain beauty and peace would merge;
How this form conceived of wonder to find
The image of you and the sky converge.
I saw you-a feint but true you-'twas clear.
And beyond did a nebula appear.
Red glow and sparkles then brightened your gleam,
And your presence aligned the cloud supreme.
Your eyes twinkled through the haze of stardust
Beaming an assurance that I can trust.
Your cheeks, highlighted by two rosy clouds,
Enhanced your fond smile; and blushing, I bowed,
For you, the Milky Way's greatest wonder,
Resonated in me like thunder.
I glanced through the scope again still to find
The conception in the sky was steadfast.
With a peace so sure and its grace so kind
I had to revel in wonder so vast-
For this thought had revealed a truth to me:
You outshine the stars in the galaxy.
