The Big Mac has turned 40. How ironic, the older it gets, the younger people who consume it get. In spite of my views towards the gruesomely grease laden food McDonalds has to offer. I do not believe that they should abandon their time tested icon, The Big Mac. One would consider that judging by the obese hyperactive children, who bounce around playland, that McDonalds should not advertise its calorie soaked meat sandwich. One of the problems in replacing the Big Mac would be as to what artery cloggier they would sling at America next. The second would be people should remember the rule of free will, you know the one God gave us. The idea that chubby little Americans can't keep from being healthy when tempted by the Big Mac is absurd. Ending unhealthy food would be for the consumer to decide. Usually in this country if something is not in high demand it loses its monetary value and there for disappears.

The notion that people cannot make choices for themselves is just another way socialism is being slowly implemented into our society. This is not only evident in the Big Mac debate: "It's so irresistible that people being seduced by it, can have impaired judgement." It is also quite prevalent throughout other Non-Government run businesses. Smoking, for instance, although nasty and deadly it has been deemed too addictive for people to choose whether or not to participate. Now cigarettes have neat little government warnings on them that explain the risks in hopes of deterring people who need that little extra help.

I am by no means a supporter of McDonalds, who chooses to spit on traditional family values by embracing the NGLCC. ( National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce ) That however, is their right. I have decided not to patronize this once All-American restaurante. I do not agree with a business who has embodied family values and traditions for so long and then falls into the depths of what is now being passed off as diversity. You know, the hip not so new craze of reaching out to endorse a deviant way of life. Don't get me wrong, homosexuals should be judged on who they are, not what sex they prefer to have. Such risky and dangerous behavior should be represented by more food establishments. I heard Burger King was going to introduce the village people plastic collectibles. It comes with every kids meal.
