The Enemy Within?

Someone kick me if I am wrong here, but are we being wiped out by the very democracy we all fight so hard to defend? My own father was a paratrooper during World War II - fought all over the world for it, my Mother worked in the ammunitions factory in Manchester and her brother Bill died in France for it. My Dad died only a few years ago at the age of 87, and I am certain he would be horrified at what is happening to our world today. In fact, if he could have foreseen it I am sure he would have refused to fight.

As an Englishman I am in no doubt we are being marginalized and our own government is selling us and all our assets down the river and pretending its profit. Its not profit; they are just shamelessly squandering our children's inheritance and their future. If these same people tried doing this around the 1940's they would have been hung for treason. Let me explain why.

One of Great Britain's major assets in the past, and why it got to be an Empire is not just the fact that it is a fortress of Islands, but it was also self sufficient; "Was" being the operative word nowadays. The Conservative and Labor governments over the years (Thatcher springs to mind here) have systematically closed down all our major industries, Coal Mines, Shipyards and Farms, If they weren't able to close things down they just sold them off abroad instead, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Land Rover the list is endless. Anything left was in the public sector and has now been privatized, (or soon will be), all now run by useless yuppies who don't give a s*t about anything other than lining their own pockets.

Where do think we would be if we did not possess all these assets during the war when Germany was planning to invade, I'll tell you where we would be, we would be either Nazi's or dead. Yes without assets, Industry and self sufficiency what was once an Island fortress becomes an Island prison, All an enemy needs to do is successfully cut off our supply lines and when we run out of supplies we have had it, What would we eat?, who would build new ships and aircraft? and where would we get our fuel from?

G.B. will get by it always does I hear you say, Oh yeah! well what are we going to do then? send ten crack units of estate agents and a few battalions of stock-brokers to save us? It wont come to that anyway is what they will tell you, Wont it? well I sincerely hope they haven't forgot to tell the all the meglamaniacs, terrorists, dictators and all the other raving lunatics around
