Why men should not fear balding

embracing the bald man as someone who is attractive and sexy. Next time you are a sporting event, concert, or some other event, take a look around and notice how many bald heads are in the crowd.

Depending on the source, it's said that 40% to 60% of men lose their hair due to male pattern baldness. This statistic proves that men are far from being alone in the chance that they are one of the millions of men that face male pattern baldness.

Many of these men resort to various thing including spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars trying to cover up their baldness. They will do things like combing their hair over the bald spot, buying various lotions, creams, and other snake oils to grow hair back, or have highly invasive surgeries to implant hair from one part of their body to their scalp. These tactics are all unnecessary.

With the popularity of head shaving these days, men can just spend a couple bucks a month to shave their head and gain all the confidence, sexiness, and more that they would get by using the tactics mentioned above. Why don't more men shave their heads and embrace their baldness? After reading through sites like Sly Bald Guys (http://www.SlyBaldGuys.com) it's because of fear of things that were already mentioned above; jokes, a "bad" shaped head, people will think they are ugly or won't accept them. Once again, a quick jaunt over to Sly Bald Guys will reveal that many of the members of the community also had those same fears, but once they shaved their heads and embraced their baldness they had much more confidence than they did when trying to cover up their baldness. Many of the members posted that their worries over the shape of their head, or whether they would be accepted by others quickly vanished when their friends, family and others complimented them on their new look.

Communities like Sly Bald Guys and the popularity of bald guys in the media and rest of society are a few of the several reasons men should not fear balding, but should embrace it.
