That poker face, a blank canvas,
looks back at me, without seeing.
Guarded, your voice is monotoned,
carefully devoid of commitment.
Trust is not innate in you.
Suspicion regulates your reactions.
It is obvious you wait faithfully,
for the other shoe to drop.
