I carry my purse with me everywhere
if it doesn't match, I don't care
all I need you'll find inside
come take a tour, I'll be your guide
my checkbook, and a pen
for spending money now and then
a tube of shiny lip-gloss
travel size dental floss
a pair of earrings I wore last year
what are they still doing here?
my lottery ticket from the other day
I never win, but I still play
facial tissue, female stuff
(I'm sure that's quite specific enough)
pictures of my shining stars
the keys to my house and car
the last thing in my purse you'll find
is what is always on my mind
my handsome soldier, gone for so long
yet my love still burns so strong
I'll stop, I'm getting off the issue
does anybody have a tissue?
Oh, wait, I do, in my purse here, see?
I told you it has everything I need.

Inside my purse
Ever so often
I clean out my purse.
I vow to do better
but things only get worse.
It is amazing
The things I find
No matter how I try to stay
Ahead of my own game
I often am the loser
And it's driving me insane
The cause is my own problem

Inside My Purse
I'm not a woman
And I don't carry a purse
Well, if she asks me I do
I guess it could be worse
When I hold it
Inside my purse there hides a gun
No one suspects is there
I bought it the day after I was raped
"Never again," I swear
