Sweet Tooth
One morning while mom was in the kitchen she yelled out for my older brothers and sister. "Alice, Greg, DJ and Reggie, please come here into the kitchen."
You could tell she was upset about something. "Now I want the truth, who ate all the cinnamon rolls that were suppose to be for breakfast? "It wasn't me", replied Alice. "It wasn't me, I didn't even know we had any cinnamon rolls", replied Greg. "Sure Alice and Greg you two always eat up all the good snacks" said DJ. "Be quiet DJ. You don't know what you're talking about", Alice said angrily. "What about you Reggie? Did you eat the cinnamon rolls?" asked mom. "No" answered Reggie. "Well they didn't just disappear, somebody ate them" proclaimed mom. "I left them right here on the counter after dinner last night. So where did they go?"
Alice, Greg, DJ and Reggie all looked at each other with confusion on their faces. "Well, am I going to get a confession?" Asked mom. Then DJ said, "Well Reggie was the last one in the kitchen." "I was only putting up the dishes DJ. What about you? You kept getting up last night to go the bathroom. You could've went in here while everyone was sleep to eat the cinnamon rolls yourself." "Whatever, everyone knows I always tell the truth", answered DJ with a smirk on his face. "Well if no one is going to tell me who ate all of the cinnamon rolls then I guess no one wants to go trick o' treating tonight", said mom. "Man, this is not fair. We always have to suffer when those two do something wrong" said DJ referring to Alice and Greg. "Well I think it's time for you all to start taking more responsibility for each other." Said mom. "I'll tell you what. I'm going to give you four a opportunity to talk amongst yourselves to see if you can figure out who ate all the cinnamon rolls. One thing; that person must confess", said mom as she walked out the kitchen.
There was silence in the kitchen for a moment. Then Reggie said "Look, if I don't get to go trick o' treating tonight you three are going to have a hard time explaining to your friends why you were eating teeth instead of candy for Halloween. So somebody needs to say something about what happened to those cinnamon rolls". DJ liked pretending like he was a detective. He walked over to the counter where the cinnamon rolls were left. "Let's see if there's any finger prints on the plate. I don't see any finger prints just this stepping stool that Alice and Greg have to use to reach for stuff on the counter." "DJ, I stopped
