Naps
What is a nap?
It's just a repose
A rest, a break,
A quick little doze.
A snappy refresher
A healthy picker upper
A relaxing snooze
A spot before supper
We get to be an age
Where a nap is a right.
We can take one whenever
It doesn't have to be night.
We've worked our whole life
So, if I want a quick break.
I can settle myself down
In my chair and partake.
It feels so good
And does so much for me.
A quick 20 minutes
And I'm back, all healthy.
It doesn't take much
A few minutes here and there.
Just a comfy little spot
It could be anywhere.
I'll nap in my bed
Or sitting up in a chair.
The results are the same
I'm still rested, I swear.
Yes, a nap is a good thing.
Enough of them keeps me healthy
I at least can have that trait
Since I'm neither wise nor wealthy

Starts to tell them that it's tired

I've got a lot to do today
I've got to mow the lawn
Just the very thought of work
Gives cause to make me to yawn
The garden
