Maybe it is because he has seen you at your best but loved you at your worst. Maybe it is the way he holds your waist at the exact same time each night after six years. Maybe it is the way he held you all through the first night and still has not let go the days after. Is it the way you have heard his stories a million times but it still feels like the first time? Maybe it is the way you still can talk all night and watch the sun rise together. The only truth behind love at first sight is the word "maybe." There is no logic or reason as to what hides in the darkness of this stranger, but there is the rush of emotions telling you to trust this person. Saying to you this one stranger feels like home.

There in the newness of what is a chance encounter is a feeling screaming "I BELONG WITH THIS PERSON!" Love is a feeling and it has no one definition. It is an emotion which has always been implanted in us from birth. Love at first sight is the first instinct to discover and venture into a relationship. Chemical changes happen in our bodies as we are attracted to other humans. Our pupils will dilate and blood pressure will rise. Those chemical changes are just sexual attraction. Love happens in the heart and soul. It is felt throughout the entire body.

The first encounter with love at first sight is an emotional and spiritual awakening. Your body says I have been through this scenario several times but it never felt this way. Your fear says not to trust him but your heart say this time is okay. You look for faults the whole first meeting. You have to believe this feeling is wrong. You question everything your head says because this has never been felt in such a short time span. Love is present.

It is there because there is a connection between two complete strangers. Two people have come together at this certain point in their lives. They have discovered their similarities and they can compromise on their differences. To discover this truth is to have lived it. Many will not see what they can feel with their hands. So discovering love at first sight you have to feel it with the palm of your hand. It will scrape your heart. You feel the tingle throughout your spine, and it goes to the core of your physical being. Love at first sight has the same effect as the wind. You can feel the wind, so you know it exists. You never see it and at its worst you will hear it. This is the truth behind love at first sight.

Once you feel it in your body then you know its truth. Some people will experience this phenomenon many times, while others may never experience it. Regardless, for the ones who have felt the sensation and the unique emotions there is truth to love at first sight's existence. It is real and it is felt throughout the world. No one is immune to the "spell" placed on people who find love on their first meeting. It is a gut reaction telling you that may have known this person for only a few hours but he will be the person to hold you for years to come. In your heart you just knew from the first day you would bear his last name and call him 'your husband.' He will become the feeling associated most closely to the love you felt for your parents, but he will also become your family. Discovering this love is like walking into your house after being away for a long period of time, it just smells like home.
