A wink at me could start it all
And into love we both could fall
Do not hesitate to let me know
Do not fear letting it show
Without that wink time slips on by
Lost seconds I could have been your guy
It can be very difficult to reach out
To gain the courage to beat the doubt
Yet there is no reason to be scared
And you'll find out once you've dared
That after that first step is taken
No more fear that you'll be forsaken
Hiding in the shadows listening to your heart
That wink cuts through the darkness as a dart
But if you don't send that wink and try
I'll never know, and pass right on by
Don't watch me from the shadows only hoping
As days pass by we both spend moping
We could be very happy together
And start making our own forever
I could be waiting to hear from you
We could be happy, could say I do
But I'll never know that you are watching
I want to know that you are waiting
Tell me now, don't wait or hesitate
It's something we'll both appreciate
I would love to see a wink or more
To make you mine to forever adore
Send me a message or drop me a line
To me you may be perfectly divine
But I'll never know if you don't go
Please come forward now and do show
If you want me I may want you too
And love is of the strongest brew
Come to me with a smile and a wink
So we can make a bond or build a link
Do not fear to take a chance
Under the moonlight we will dance
Please open your heart up to me
It will all be perfect and you will see
It all could begin with just a wink
If you don't tell me my heart will sink
You may be who I am looking for desperately
I would move first if I knew your identity
If you don't tell me I'll never see
And that's not how I want it to be
I beg of you to speak to me
No need to fear, you will see

She winked back

I wanted to scream "look at me!"

I thought he hadn't seen my smile,
But yes, he'd noticed,
