Poetry: The tragedy of love

by Angela Maslin

Created on: April 19, 2008

Today you left and went away,
And all i wanted was for you to stay.
I knew the reason you had to go.
But why couldn't your heart just say no,
And stay with me.
And to find that love that was meant to be,
But still you went so far away.
But in my heart you will always stay.
Miles apart we may be,
But you will always be apart of me.
So till that day when you return,
In my heart you will always burn.
