"on the mend"
Pretending not to notice
Pretending not to care
Waiting for my heart to mend
Knowing youll be there
I wish I could make promises
But I never keep the ones I make
On second thought I am not ready to give
Only ready to take
I feel selfish
I feel scared
So forgive me for shutting down
God, give me some answers
Let me be alone
Let me dream
Let me scream
My demons haunt me
The voices from my past
Why are the ghosts still lingering
I just want to know that I can wait (that this could last)
That you can too
The walls are higher than ever now
Even if I could break them down, I don't know how
Climbing them could be a full time job
I am not taking applications yet
I need to tear them down on my own first
If only I could mend my heart
But I have to do this for me
Not for you

~Broken Heart Again~
I thought that love
would wait for me,
when you went your separate way~
I knew your heart
would stay with
Have you ever had
The sun shine down,
Yet upon your face
It's golden rays felt like ice,
Have you ever walked
Along a sandy shore
That
You didn't love me then.
You'll never love me now.
Not even when I was there,
Today, another face in the crowd.
The one you
by Dee Boyd
Do you know what I mean
When I say I love you
Or does it even matter at all?
It means that your the biggest part of my life
But
Can you hear the sound
The heart makes when it breaks?
One softly spoken goodbye
Is all that it takes
Can you feel the pain
That
