Vitamins are indispensable to the human requirements, especial more important for baby to 12 years old children. It can maintain the normal function of cells; regulate the metabolism of the human body.Vitamins are necessary for our vitality, growth, and general well being each vitamin has specific functions. You can develop health problems (deficiency disease) if you do not get enough of a particular vitamin.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in two forms in nature. First there is the real form, also called retinol, which exists in animal products like fish-oil and liver. This form can easily be used by the human body and is stored and released by the liver.The human body cannot directly use beta carotene as vitamin A, but needs to transform it into retinol using fats and gal.
Benefits: Vitamin A helps in the formation and maintenance of healthy teeth, bones, soft tissue, mucous membranes, and skin and helps to prevent colds and infections, primarily of the mucosa of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs and bladder. Some studies have shown that arytenoids have protective properties against some forms of cancer.
Best natural sources:halibut fish oil, Eggs, meat, beef, pork, whole milk, cheese, cream,animal liver, and kidney.
Recommended daily dosages: children 700 micrograms.Babies and children are more sensitive and can become sick after taking smaller doses of vitamin A or vitamin A-containing products such as retinol .The Food and Nutrition Board at the Institute of Medicine recommends the following:
Infants 0-6 months: 400 micrograms per day (mcg/day), 7-12 months: 500 mcg/day
Children 1-3 years: 300 mcg/day; 4-8 years: 400 mcg/day; 9-13 years: 600 mcg/day
Vitamin B-complex
All members of the vitamin B-complex are water soluble. Easy to digest and absorb. Any left over water-soluble vitamins leave the body through the urine. The quantity listed is up to the internal need and may be increased and decreased to some extent with intensity of running off of the protein.It plays a role in the production of red blood cells and in the processing of carbohydrates and fats.
