Memoirs: The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you

by Lynelle Herndon

Created on: April 18, 2008

Although it happened well over 10 years ago, this thing is can easily have the title of most embarrassing ascribed to it. Perhaps it's the formative junior high years that creates the environment for such embarrassment to happen in the first place.

Sitting on the right side of the front table in Ms. Ashbury's biology class, I had the advantage of appearing to be paying acute attention to the lesson, while simultaneously peering at the rest of the students in the room. My best school friend at the time sat next to me towards the right, and she could see everyone I could see. Kevin sat all the way across the classroom, and was completely oblivious to the attention we would pay him. We talked about him all the time, about how cute he was and what if he were our boyfriend.
