What is she looking for
pacing on the chasm's edge
like a craving tiger
with insatiable eyes
Let the eastern wind
play with her hair
let the wind from the south
kiss her mouth
Cause she can't hear the daisies
though they're trying to tell her
and the butterfly
doesn't catch her eye
He was searching for her
and he was so tired
of the wind of the west
as he lay down to rest
There was no one around
so he told the daisies
no one saw him cry
only a butterfly
When the north wind came
he resolved to go
but he made a pledge
on the chasm's edge
Every time she comes
there is only wind
he was here just minutes ago
but she doesn't know

Poetry: The wind
Billy Wind is cross tonight,
Throwing storm clouds at the moon,
Rattling, banging, crashing, howling,
Ripping, tearing; sighing
by Grateful One
White smoke drifts quietly away from lodge,
like a distant, fond memory I can't seem

The wind:
Blowing, teasing,
playfully caressing
the leaves
as they cross paths.
Whistling, singing.
dancing with the trees
and

Wind swirls
Know not how
Gentle breeze
Across your brow
Rustling leaves
Musical sound
Quaking aspens
Dearly found
Winds
As gentle as a mothers kiss
upon her babies face
As forceful as some nitroglyce’
Explosive to erase
As kind to push
