Ahead of His Time
He was walking, when all
Around him they were crawling.
He was speaking when the
Others were still bawling.
He was running, when
Others were still walking.
He was writing when finally
They all started talking.
He was speaking peace
When others were shouting war
He was already there when
They were still away far
He gave us love
When they wanted hate
He promised us life
They just questioned fate
His words told the many
Not to fear the few
The few listened too
In awe they all knew
He stayed well beyond us
Yet dwelled within our mind
We contemplated his words
But could not conquer his kind
He knew things that didn't exist
He said things that troubled
He went places we never saw
And gave us sight that doubled
He was far beyond his day
Far ahead of his time
Way in front of the second
In his pantomime
Still today he leads
All those who will follow
We know who he is
If only we will allow
His words to saturate our heart
He would never again depart
He his well ahead of his time
In his loving pantomime.

Poetry: Ahead of his time
by Sherry Law
He came to me, ahead of his time
And I knew we faced an uphill climb.
Anything but hearty and hale,
He was tiny, wrinkled,

Ahead of His Time
He was walking, when all
Around him they were crawling.
He was speaking when the
Others were still bawling.
He
He was a man ahead of his time
A spirit untamed
A heart run wild
I met him as a child
Loved him as a woman
Bore his sons
And
by DL McCulloch
He spun tales to me,
a child at his knee.
Sitting rapt with awe,
I would see what he saw;
the world so large before me,
as his
Ahead of His Time
Conceived
Growin g into being
Unplanned in the heat of passion
Forced through power uncontrolled
A child ahead
