Powerless
Looking in your face
I see pain, anguish,
fear, deceit and anger,
compliments of the bottle.
Something went
terribly wrong ~
when did it start,
do you know?
Only a resemblance
to the woman I know,
you stand shaking
before me, head down.
Where will your bottom
take you this time,
and will you live to tell?
Looking in your face
I see myself and realize
that I finally understand
powerlessness.
