Blank Canvas
The blank canvas exposed
Plain, white and free.
Ready.
Anticipating the coming brush,
Loaded with color
So bright!
What will I become when
The artist's dream emerges
On me?
Will I filfill his vision?
Come to life here?
I breathe.
Open to the possibilities,
Offering myself freely,
Use me.
I am the blank canvas
Made just for you,
Paint me.
Then as we two become one,
No longer virgin white,
Complete.
As I explore the wonders of the new me
You explore with your heart
And smile.

Blank Canvas
Born into a family poor and struggling
The child followed suit
He worked beside his father

by Edward Hall
Look. All these years, miles, triumphs and
tragedies that are written across my face
and still, to you, I am a blank canvas
waiting
Mind blank, canvas unscathed
By the writer's ink poised to
Etch some wisdom and inspire
Eyes yet to open to behold the dire.
Canvas
by Nan Keltie
A wise old friend stopped by to see,
Our newborn on that first week.
He placed a shaking, gentle hand,
Upon her tiny, pink
by Larry Powers
"Empty Pages"
The pen was full of black ink,
papers covered the desktop,
dictionaries stood on edge,
and an empty journal
