My garage has never seen a car
Full of boxes, near and far
Towering high, waiting to fall
Big ones, little ones, got em all
Moved em in and piled em high
Now I shake my head and sigh
Some not opened for several years
Unknown contents - cause for fears
Can't find old taxes, old receipts,
the crock pot or my favorite sheets
Somewhere in here is a box
full of dolls and building blocks
Pots and pans and dishes, too
and that thing that melts fondue
College textbooks I do not need
I swear at night these boxes breed
No Christmas tree for us this year
It's in the garage - back in the rear
Baby gear that's ten years old
Stuff that should have long been sold
I pray a breaker doesn't trip
Because I'll never get to it
Time to stop the circumvention
and call Goodwill for intervention

It broke down on the side of the road.
