Dear God,
I need a big favor from you . Last night I had a horrible dream. I dreamed that my father who is now in Iraq was in a car. It was a big car and it looked like the Hummer. Then, all of a sudden, the car caught fire and my father was seriously burnt. I woke up scared and started to cry. Only after my Mom came and kissed me I went back to bed, but I could not fall asleep so I thought about it and decided to write to you because you are the only one who can help me. Please protect my father. He is my best friend. His name is Jeff Lawrence and he is in the 41st division. I will put a picture of him in the envelope after I finish to write this letter so that you can recognize him. I do not remember much about him because it was a long time since he was home, but I remember that he likes football. Both of us spent many hours playing football in the park. Do you like football? He also likes to laugh a lot. Almost all the movies that he rented every weekend were funny like "Airport" which is his favorite and "Police Academy" movies. What are your favorite movies?
Want to know more about my dad? He loves Mom a lot. Sometimes I think he loves her more than I do. He is too passionate about almost everything and gets excited easily, especially when we watch football games on TV, and he has a very kind heart. He helps almost everyone who asks him to and sometimes even those who don't. He loves music and hamburgers, but he does not like ketchup (he says it spoils the natural taste of the meat), and the most important thing (for me) - he loves me.
Now I have a question for you. What is your address? I needed to know because without an address how could I send this letter? The children in my class said that you are in heaven, but Mom told me that you are everywhere. So which one is it? I had to know so I decided to ask the mailman - he is supposed to know all the addresses, right? He told me to write on the envelope "To God" and leave it in our mailbox and he will take care of it, so this is exactly what I am going to do.
It is getting late and I need to go to bed now.
Good night,
Joey
