My head in the air, the world at my feet,
My journey begins, lots of people to meet.
I first happen upon a mystical man,
He's clever, he's wise, has a greater plan.
My second encounter is with a woman of power,
Her beauty blooms like a Lotus flower.
Then I happen upon an Empress of beauty,
Beside her an Emperor, sharing her duty,
Then a man of wisdom gives me his blessing,
The plans of my journey I'm soon confessing.
As I walk on I spy a pair of star crossed Lovers,
There's a choice to be made between one another,
A man in a Chariot passes us by,
He is focused; Strength is what I require,
Then a Hermit more than happy with his lot,
His soul he searches in his humble little plot.
I feel that fortune will soon come my way,
But I know The Wheel turns just like night into day.
This thought lifts and bolsters my spirit,
Just like Justice comes to those who deserve it.
As it does to the character who next I see,
A handsome man hanged by his foot from a tree,
Odin, the All Father, finder of the Runes,
A sacrifice, he warns me, I'll have to make soon,
Then a dark figure appears on a white steed,
Scattering and sowing his demon seed,
Plague, pestilence, famine and strife,
Death, the only thing certain in life.
My Temperance balanced, my feelings intact,
Will avoid me from making a Faustian pact,
The Devil will find work for idle hands,
He could tempt me, bind me, and scupper my plans
Now I feel like I'm walking through Hell on Earth,
And I wonder what happened to merry mirth.
Then I happen to see, in the distance, on fire,
A Tower with people leaping from the spire,
But every cloud has a silver lining,
I look to the sky, the Stars are shining,
My body is bathed in full Moonlight,
And I'm aware that it all looks different at night,
I sit for a while so long that The Sun
Rises, another day has begun.
My Judgment is sound, my journey complete
As I realize, I now have The World at my feet.
