"It's your age". How many time have you heard that sentence in your lifetime. Depending on how old you are will have a bearing on this, but all the same, it applies to any time in your life.
When a women reaches menopause, it is a time in her life that resembles beining close to going through puberty, but in reverse.
Pre-menopause is often undiagnosed and overlooked, but can cause huge disruption to peoples lives. Not just the woman that is pre-menopausal, but it also can affect her family, friends ect...
This part of a females life can be one of mood swings, physical symptoms such as a crushing feeling of exhaustion, uncontrollable sweating (day or night), the list just goes on.
During this time, depression is common, as is what can be perceived as unusual behavior for that person. A normally logical, reasonable woman can become the complete opposite, sometimes without any warning. Irrational behavior and feelings of confusion resemble puberty, but the physical implications are in a different order.
Pre-menopause can start as early as the begining of a womens thirties. Though it is more common towards the end of thirties and crossing the line into early forties.
Many women suffer unnecessarily some potentially horrendous symptoms as they do not seek help from their G.P.. It is also common that if a pre-menopausal woman does go to her G.P. for help, it is overlooked and this can lead to unnecessary and inappropriate treatment.
Since the use of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) became more widely available and more commonly used, it is very effective in the management of the symptoms associated with 'this time in your life'.
It has been reported by a lot of women and even the husbands/partners,that when the HRT kicks in, the woman can revert to a totally different and much happier self. It can be extremely life altering for the better.
By taking HRT for pre-menopausal cases and not waiting until full on menopause sets in, it can be liberating for the majority to sufferers and their families. So don't suffer in silence ladies. If you think that you might be pre-menopausal, address the issue and seriously consider HRT as an option. It can give you a brand new lease of life!. There's no need to suffer in silence any longer.
