Poetry: Sprinklers

Up they pop and spring into being
fountains of water alive and awake,
a mist of hue all colours are showing
jets directing a dancing cascade.

Flowering shurbs await the arrival
stretching to meet the welcoming drops,
Drinking in the sprinkling water
showered, refreshed till the moment it stops.
