The feelings it evokes
The outcome
The churn in your stomach
The raise of her brows
The whistle of the train that makes you jump!
The laughter of the baby next to you
The cold salad on your plate
The long, long walk home...
The familiar voice on the other end
The way your shoe buckles
The new frock hanging on the knob, ready
The mail that comes in today
The messages left unanswered
The trickle of blood down your knee?
Stop searching, stop questioning
