Disney Vacation Club Resorts for Ocean Lovers

Two of the most appealing Disney Vacation Club resorts that appeal to beach lovers are Disney's Hilton Head Island resort and Disney's Vero Beach resort. Both resorts offer gorgeous settings that offer children's activities, entertainment, walking trails, biking trails, and the occasional sighting of wildlife, not to mention sea turtle sightings!

Both of these resorts are non-theme park oriented Disney Vacation Club resorts. Nevertheless, many families are drawn to them, as they offer alternative Disney experiences for children and adults. Golf lovers, for instance, are drawn to Disney's Hilton Head Island's 9 hole golf course. Swimmers and beach lovers, on the other hand, are attracted to the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean at Disney's Vero Beach resort.

Restaurants and eateries are on site and additional shopping, attractions, and amenities are within walking distance from both Disney Vacation Club resorts. Like many DVC members, ocean lovers jump at the opportunity to partake in the annual Disney Vacation Club member cruise. The live entertainment, meals, pool, spa, internet caf, and numerous other amenities are enough to excite any member. Perhaps this is why there are so many returning members to each annual DVC member cruise.

Earlier this year, Disney announced an expansion of their Disney Cruise line with an addition of two new ships in 2011 and 2012, with ships taking passengers to Mexico, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Obviously this is good news for Disney lovers and cruise lovers alike. As the year has passed, Disney Vacation Club members have expressed their joy over the gigantic brand new ships as well. Hang in there Disney lovers, it's only a few years away!

In the meantime, Disney Vacation Club members are preparing for their DVC 2008 member cruise. In addition to many benefits, Disney Vacation club members receive several perks which aren't offered to standard Disney cruise passengers. For instance, special incentives have been offered to DVC members, including the waive of booking fees and free giveaway items.

While the Disney Cruise Line Expansion isn't particularly new news, it coincides with all of the new Disney plans which have been laid out over the year. Disney Vacation Club resorts continue to get bigger and better.

Nevertheless, there's something to be said for some of the older DVC resorts, specifically The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. As soon as you walk into the stunning lobby, you fall in love. The fantastic pool, the brief boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. It really is an exceptional Disney Vacation Club resort.
