Set in Stone.
I drop pebbles in time
So I can find my way back
To you.
A stone for each memory
Heavy, permanently planted
Unmovable
In silence undisturbed
Gray matter revisited
I collect
To pick up a stone
Turn it over
Caress
When next I gather
I follow to origin
Starting point
Moving ahead is harder
Than staying tethered
To departure
In the distance-uncertainty
Past is stone
Solid
Uncarveable granite
Best revisited
In thought
Twas it possible
To live it again
I choose not
For in the memory
All is forgiven
Polished Gold.
