Hola Amigos. Do you want to have fun in the sun in a sizzling hot spot? Leave your worries at the border and come to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, also known as Rocky Point, a picture perfect town along the Sea of Cortez. Don't worry if your Spanish is not up to par. There are many english speaking people to help you find you way.

Beaches abound in Puerto Penasco. Beautiful blue waters lap at white sandy shores. Sandy Beach is for sunbathing and combing the beach for treasures from the sea, seashells and beautiful creatures. If you play your cards right, perhaps the beautiful creature will come have a margarita with you! Between Old Port and Sandy Beach, one can enjoy sailing, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, and parasailing; great for adventurers and weekend warriors. Or if you're like me, you'll leisurely pass the time with a trashy novel or magazine, soaking up the sun, on a beach chair with a drink in your hand.

Why not stop for a tasty lunch at a restaurant along the water in Cholla Bay? Cholla Bay is south west of Puerto Penasco. Try the catch of the day. After all, fish is brain food. After lunch is the perfect time to do a little shopping. Look for t-shirts and tequila, or browse for jewelry or even kites!

Las Chonchas, towards caborca highway, a gated beach community, is home to the Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans (CEDO). This educational museum and research center is home to a plethora of artifacts and an extensive library. Get your nerd on! Go for a hike out to natural volcano beds and learn about the desert or take a trip to terrific tidal pools and learn about unique sea life. Remember to bring your camera to capture natural wonders! Learning about ecology has never been this much fun.

Come for relaxation, fun in the sun, shopping, good food, and great partying!

If you want action and excitement be sure to travel to Puerto Penasco on spring break where you'll find hot bodies and cold beer and unbelievable night life.
