Poetry: Naps

by Roan Kishpaugh

Created on: April 17, 2008

Tossing, turning, patiently waiting
Lying there in the sun
Waiting for the haze of dark that encompasses all
Of the mind that needs rest
It drifts slowly, teasingly
Peeking at the edges of consciousness
Sleep, oh precious sleep
For that short moment in time
To dream of a nap
