No life given
You sat empty
Without a chance
Never given a glance
You are a blank canvas
Longing for words
Looking for color
Or even song birds
Out of the blue
The price had been paid
One day you were picked up
With someone holding a cup
You were given life
With shades of an aura
At last your blank page
Was given a name with age

dictionaries stood on edge,
and an empty journal
