Poetry: Inside my wallet

by C F Tinney

Created on: April 17, 2008

Inside my wallet?
You'll be sorry you asked!
You've probably not seen,
leather this tasked.

Like "George" on "Seinfeld"
it holds a variety.
Of things I just have to have,
looking inside, you'll see:

Credit cards, ten of them,
wiht all limits been spent!
A library card I haven't used,
since the 38th President.

A Social Security Card,
and video store card too.
Photos of my two kids,
aren't they just too cute?

Some lint and a piece of gum,
too bad the wraps gone.
No worries, all smashed like that,
it helps the cough drop stay on!

Something that looks a lot,
like a ticket not paid.
Under that you will find,
a bingo card: played.

How can it be I have all this stuff?
Never to worry,
it's not all that tough.
If you have zero money,
then there's plenty of room.

But the funniest thing is,
it stays in my hands.
It's stuffed way to full, you see,
to go in my pants!
