It seems that fuller, plumper lips are the hottest trend right now.With celebrities like Angelina Jolie gracing the silver screen,women young and old alike have been seeking ways to achieve a similar look. Society defines what is sexy for us-and society has spoken. Plump, bee stung lips are the new sexy. There are several ways to achieve this look.First of all, I would never recommend getting lip injections. Although I have never had any personal experience with them, I have seen pictures of celebrities who ended up with "trout pout" as a result.Some celebrities that have chosen lip injections include: Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson, Demi Moore, Meg Ryan,and others. I have, however, heard a great many good things about DuWop Lip Venom.This product was recently endorsed by Lindsay Lohan, after tabloids accused her of receiving lip injections. I visited their website, and their products are very reasonably priced. Their lip plumpers contain ingredients that sting and burn, causing lips to swell (it is only mildly uncomfortable). For about 20 bucks, you can have a fuller looking pout.Another alternative is to create this look with makeup. Avoid applying a dark color of lipstick all over the mouth. Dark colors make lips appear smaller. Also, lining the lips all the way around makes them appear smaller, too. Apply a light colored lipstick, then outline your upper lip, being sure to draw slightly above your natural lip line at the bow of your mouth. Secondly, line only the bottom center of your lower lip. Top with a shimmery lip gloss, applying it only to the center of your upper and lower lip. This creates the illusion of fuller lips.Of course, another option would be to take the focus off of your lips entirely. You could choose to play up your eyes instead, perhaps going for a smoky eye and a nude, glossy lip. Creating a look that consists of hair with big, tousled waves, flawless skin, and dramatic eyes with a simple gloss on the lips is, to me, just as sexy as lips that take center stage. It all depends on your mood, and the occasion. That is the beauty of being a woman! We have so many options!Lastly,never fall into the trap of getting lip implants. While few of us can afford it, the results are far from natural. It is best to stick with temporary solutions, because who knows-next year's trend may be thin lips!
