"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is a comedy you won't soon forget. The characters are mostly endearing, and there are two knockout scenes that will be the subject of many blogs. The first involved a bit about a Dracula puppet musical, and the other? The shocking but funny display of full-frontal male nudity. We'll get to that later.

If you've been dumped mercilessly by a romantic partner, you will identify with Peter Bretter (Jason Segel), the guy who's trying to forget Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). To make matters worse, Sarah hooks up with a grungy but popular British rock star (played hilariously by stand up comic, Russell Brand) who's not "all that" in the handsome department.

Peter and Sarah have been living together for quite some time. She's a famous TV actress in an obvious send-off of the "C.S.I." series, and he's the musician for the show. They seem to love each other, but we get to learn that Peter pretty much played Sarah's bodyguard during their entire relationship.

In the first 5 minutes of the movie, Peter and the actor playing him, the loveable Jason Segel, suffered humiliation. Imagine being dumped while naked! Yes folks, Segel one-upped Will Ferrell in showing their booties off. Let's just say his name is Peter, and that speaks for itself.

Then we get to see Peter sad, lonely, and depressed. He tries to meet other women, but he just can't forget Sarah Marshall. So he takes a suggestion from his brother, Brian ("Saturday Night Live's" Bill Hader), and goes to Hawaii.

But the heavenly paradise soon becomes hell-on-earth for Peter. He accidentally runs into Sarah and her new rock star boyfriend, Aldous Snow.

What I love about the movie is its well-drawn characters. The colorful personalities Peter meets in Hawaii are funny and engaging. There's the always-reliable Jonah Hill ("Knocked Up," "Superbad") as Matthew, the waiter. There's also the funny Paul Rudd as Chuck, the surfer.

But my favorite is the sweet and beautiful Mila Kunis as Rachel Jansen, the hotel employee who helps Peter forget Sarah Marshall. Kunis is a veteran voice-actress from "Family Guy" (she voices the character Meg Griffin), and her charm nearly stole the show.

That's not to say that the other leading actress in the movie, "Veronica Mars" herself, Kristen Bell, did not show her great comedic timing. Bell, who plays the traditional villain in the movie, mixes it up with her innate vulnerability. Her character comes off as surprisingly likeable.
